BIOGRAPHY

Linda has been involved in education since the late 1980s when she received her secondary teaching certification (history and French language). Since that time she has taught in four countries, lecturing and learning in a range of different subject areas. For her interdisciplinary doctorate, she enthusiastically researched medieval religious women and the language of choice. Moving into HE, she quickly recognised the benefits of online learning, teaching her first online history module in 1998. She has subsequently taught via a range of delivery modes, including face-to-face, online and hybrid. In addition to teaching in secondary and higher education, she has taught A-level history in a sixth-form college. Her recent HE work, within a learning and teaching team, has focused on inclusion, diversity, and community/partnerships. The combined learning from these many experiences enable her to gratefully and realistically value education as both a practitioner and lifelong student.

Linda is currently studying modern Greek, continues to be an avid reader and is always on the lookout for sun, sand and surf.
